What it's about

Where did the legendary pirate Klaus Störtebeker hide his gold treasure? On this family tour through the Speicherstadt and the Speicherstadtmuseum, children aged 6 to 12 look into that question. Along the way there are cocoa beans to sniff, and at the end the kids go on a treasure hunt of their own.

The tour lasts about 90 minutes and leads through the historic warehouse floors with original sacks, scales and tools that show how coffee, cocoa and spices were once stored. The 1888 building with its creaking wooden floors adds to the atmosphere.

The Speicherstadt is only a few minutes from Baumwall or Messberg subway stations and combines well with a walk through HafenCity.
