What it's about
Regular demonstrations at Altonaer Museum show the special cloud theater, the Eidophusikon, in action. Thanks to its elaborate lighting effects, it is considered one of the forerunners of cinema.
Visitors see how light, movement and images create moods and natural spectacles on a small stage. Kids find it fascinating to see how pictures were brought to life before film and computers.
The demonstration takes place in the museum and combines well with a tour of the exhibitions.
