What it's about
The exhibition at the Altonaer Museum is dedicated to Aiga Rasch (1941–2009), whose illustrations give the cult series "Die drei ???" its unmistakable look. It shows how her distinctive style developed, from the early detective stories for Nancy Drew in the mid-1960s to the covers from 1969 onward. Her work for "Sherlock Holmes" and "Alfred Hitchcock's Gruselkabinett" is on display as well, along with her creative process from motif templates and preliminary sketches to the finished picture.
For families, the show is especially exciting if kids and teens know the detective series or parents grew up with the cassettes. Together you can discover how pictures shape stories and why certain covers stay in our minds to this day.
The Altonaer Museum offers a great reason for an exhibition visit where several generations can start a conversation.
And tomorrow? It's in the app.
The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
