On the expansive grounds, children can see over forty historic buildings, watch old livestock breeds grazing in the paddocks, and observe craftspeople smithing, weaving, baking, or working with historic tractors. A dedicated section shows everyday life from the 1950s to 1970s along the recreated Königsberger Straße, complete with furnished apartments and a petrol station. In holiday programs, children can try baking bread, churning butter, or driving a tractor themselves.
Especially suitable for children aged three to twelve who enjoy being outdoors and joining in on demonstrations. Guided tours, rallies, and an audio guide help with exploring the grounds. Hands-on days, festivals, and special exhibitions are spread throughout the year.
Plan for three to five hours. The grounds are mostly low-barrier, and strollers are easy to push. There's dining in the historic inn, and indoor and outdoor areas combine well in changeable weather.
