What it's about
'Mücke macht Picknick' is a boisterous play with puppets and music. A picnic outdoors — what fun! The fresh air, the tasty food. Mücke is delighted too, but no sooner has she arrived than the chaos begins. Luckily there is also Hummel, though he is off searching for his queen. Will he make it in time? And then there is the shuttlecock too.
With plenty of imagination, figure theater, and live music, the play tells of little troublemakers and a surprising change of perspective. It is deliberately brisk and entertaining and works well for a young audience and a first theater experience.
It is performed aboard the HoheLuftschiff, a theater boat on the Kaiser-Friedrich-Ufer in Hoheluft. During the show, the water occasionally laps audibly against the hull. The Hoheluftbrücke and Christuskirche U-Bahn stations are nearby.
And tomorrow? It's in the app.
The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
