What it's about
On the farm animal safari at BioGut Bauck in the Lüneburg Heath, you spend two hours walking through spacious enclosures with over 60 farm animal breeds. You can see prairie bison, water buffalo, steppe horses, yaks, llamas, zebus, Père David's deer and many more. In the petting meadow, children get really close to the animals, and the farm's wolfhounds are there too.
Instead of a classic zoo atmosphere, BioGut presents farm animals from around the world and explains their role in agriculture. The experience is accessible, so guests in wheelchairs or with walking aids can take part too. Especially worthwhile for families who like animals and enjoy wide open nature.
The farm is in Bad Bodenteich in the Lüneburg Heath, and the trip from Hamburg usually runs via the A7. Booking is required because the safaris take place at fixed times.
And tomorrow? It's in the app.
The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
