What it's about
At Bücherhalle Lokstedt, Juna, a trained reading dog, offers special one-on-one reading practice for kids aged 6 to 10. This playful, animal-assisted reading support also helps with reading anxiety.
Only one child is looked after at a time, so the practice can respond fully to the individual child. Sessions are always on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 4:30 pm and from 4:30 to 5:00 pm.
Admission is free. For kids who feel unsure about reading aloud, a patient, quiet listener on four paws can be a big help.
