What it's about
It's fascinating how salty water can turn into tiny, sparkling crystals! At this activity day at the Deutsches Salzmuseum, everyone puts together everything needed to start their own crystal-growing project at home.
Museum admission is included in the price, and no registration is required – a spontaneous outing for families with curious young scientists. The activity day is supported by the Lüneburg Bürgerstiftung.
The Deutsches Salzmuseum in Lüneburg shows daily (except Mondays) in its historic boiling house how salt – once called "white gold" – used to be extracted from brine, plus there's a museum rally and an audio guide with its own kids' track. Lüneburg is about 30 minutes from Hamburg by Metronom train.
And tomorrow? It's in the app.
The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
