What it's about
The model show at Hamburg Airport presents a miniature airport at 1:500 scale. Terminal, apron, tower, taxiways and parking positions are recreated in fine detail. During the show the display comes to life: moving planes, real sounds and thousands of lights simulate takeoffs, landings and the change from day to night.
The show lasts about 60 minutes. No registration is needed; you will find the model show in Terminal 1 on Level 2.
For plane-loving kids it is a great chance to watch airport operations in miniature and to understand how planes taxi, take off and land, without the noise and bustle of the real apron.
