What it's about
Together with the Berne volunteer fire department, the sports club Turn- und Sportverein Berne e. V. is hosting a lantern walk around Berner Gutspark. Three meeting points are planned: at Kriegkamp (Saseler Straße), at the Quartiersplatz Busbrookhöhe 72–90, and at Roter Hahn (Kathenkoppel). At 6:00 pm, three parades set off at the same time.
Afterwards, all the parades meet in Berner Gutspark for fireworks. It's a lovely occasion for kids to walk through the dark with their homemade lanterns. Families should decide in advance which of the three meeting points they want to start from.
You usually bring your own lantern, and joining Hamburg lantern parades is generally free.
