What it's about

Georg von Töbing was one of the wealthiest citizens of Lüneburg in the 16th century. As Sülfmeister and the salt works' highest official, as well as a town councillor, he had influence over the city's economic and political fortunes. Dressed in a magnificent Renaissance gown, his wife tells the story of life among this privileged class of citizens.

No registration is required, and admission is free for children and teenagers up to age 18.

At the Deutsches Salzmuseum, children experience how brine was turned into "white gold": in the demonstration boiling house, salt boilers show the medieval technique of boiling salt over a wood fire every day except Monday, plus there's a museum rally with a surprise at the end.

And tomorrow? It's in the app.

The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
