What it's about

At the Repair Café, kids work in small groups with an adult to repair their broken things, such as crackling headphones, stuffed animals, toys, clothes with holes or bikes. Along the way they learn screwing, gluing, soldering and sewing and see how their devices work. No prior knowledge is needed.

Please register beforehand by email at codeweek-repaircafe@posteo.de and say what you'd like repaired. Phones, game consoles, laptops and screens are less suitable. For electrical devices, bring the accessories. A device may end up completely broken after a repair attempt, and no liability is accepted. The organizer is Repair Cafe Hamburg-Hamm.

This workshop is part of Code Week Hamburg, which is run by the Körber-Stiftung and the Bücherhallen Hamburg libraries and brings together many hands-on programming and tinkering activities in October.
