Historic Firefighting Methods

"Wasser marsch!" (Water on!) is the call again during the frost-free season (Easter to the end of October) at the Feuerwehrmuseum Schleswig-Holstein. In the museum yard, a group of children puts out a "burning tree" using a bucket chain and plenty of water. During the event, the museum director also gives kid-friendly explanations of the hose tower, the various fire engines and fire buckets, among other things. Individual registration: €3 per child. Information: ages 6 – 12, group size from 8 children, duration approx. 90 min. Bring: rain jacket, rain pants and rubber boots.
