What it's about
The special exhibition "Around the World with Der Maus" brings the very first exhibition about Der Maus, the mouse from the German children's show Die Sendung mit der Maus, to Hamburg. Kids explore numerous hands-on stations and work through a quiz rally along the way — offered at two age levels, for children who can already read as well as for non-readers. The visit takes around 60 minutes.
The exhibition is especially well suited to families with younger children, since the rally is designed to fit different ages and no one is left out, whether they can read yet or not. A great addition to a trip to the BallinStadt emigration museum.
BallinStadt is located on Veddel and easily reached by S-Bahn. Alongside the special exhibition, the permanent exhibition on the history of emigration through the port of Hamburg is also worth a look.
