What it's about
How can you raise many new plants from a single one? This afternoon at the Botanischer Sondergarten Wandsbek is all about propagation by cuttings. Garden expert Helge Masch shows children aged 6 to 12 and their parents where to cut and where the roots grow on the cuttings. A brought-along PET bottle becomes a little greenhouse — cuttings and greenhouse may be taken home and cared for further on the windowsill.
Bring along a PET bottle at least 8 cm in diameter. The event takes place in the open-air grounds of the garden on Walddörferstraße. A donation of two euros per person is requested; children are free. Registration is required.
And tomorrow? It's in the app.
The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
