What it's about

They say the forest witch opens her apothecary only once a year, on the most mysterious night of autumn. Amid fragrant lavender, cinnamon sticks, cloves, moss, acorns, owl feathers, and tree bark lie old recipes hidden, revealed only to the truly curious.

Kids paint and sew their own little fabric pouch and then fill it with ingredients of their choosing — creating a very personal amulet from the forest apothecary, a little piece of forest magic to take home. Open drop-in for children with a guardian, aged 4 and up.

The Kinderbuchhaus at the Altonaer Museum is one of the few places in Germany with original illustrations from children's and young adult books. Children and teens under 18 get free admission to the Altonaer Museum.
