What it's about

The "Lüneburg Time Journey" is the classic at Museum Lüneburg: an entertaining 60- to 90-minute guided tour through the museum. It offers a look into the permanent exhibition and covers the natural and cultural history of the city and region of Lüneburg from prehistoric times to the 21st century. Seven halls across 1,700 square meters with 1,300 objects invite visitors to look, listen and linger.

Curators and trained guides bring the key themes and highlight objects to life, add their own perspectives, and are happy to answer questions. That's why repeat visits are worthwhile too — there's always something new to discover.

Individual visitors and families can join the tour Tuesday to Friday at 3:00pm; meeting point is the foyer. Participation is included in museum admission, and children and teens under 18 pay no admission.
