Zum Dorfkrug Landhof with kids

At Landhof Zum Dorfkrug in Neu Wulmstorf, children get up close with chickens, pigs, goats, cows, and alpacas — a pasture trail leads right past the animals, and farm tours and explanatory signs show how animal-friendly husbandry works and where milk, eggs, and meat come from. For running around, there's a large adventure playground, a go-kart course, and pedal vehicles. In the vintage craft bus, visitors spend about an hour on guided seasonal crafting on weekends (€10 per person).

Admission is free. Between the animal pasture, playground, café with cake and hot meals, and the farm shop with regional fruit, vegetables, and farm products, families easily spend a whole afternoon here. The farm announces recurring activities, craft markets, and seasonal festivals via its WhatsApp channel and farm news.

From Hamburg, it's a good half-hour away. Driving is the easiest way, with parking available; the farm is also reachable by bus with a bit of a walk.
