Zelt von Circus ABRAX KADABRAX with kids

At Circus ABRAX KADABRAX, children from infancy can get a taste of circus life: the Kesse-Knirpse groups are for zero- to six-year-olds, often together with mom or dad. School-age children between six and twelve learn juggling, acrobatics, tightrope walking, and clowning in the circus school. Teens can join dedicated project groups. The permanent four-mast tent also hosts holiday programs, school class visits, and open performances.

For families, the circus is a great choice because it's run as a socio-cultural education project by the Diakonisches Werk, bringing children from different backgrounds together to do circus. More than a thousand participants take part each year, many from the neighborhood. Performances are generally low-cost or donation-based.

The permanent site is on the edge of Osdorfer Born, easily reached by bus and within walking distance for residents. The grounds include circus wagons, a circus cafe, and workshops for costumes and props.
