Zeise Kinos with kids

At Zeise Kinos, families can watch age-appropriate children's films on weekends, book birthday parties as a complete package, and attend school cinema screenings with accompanying materials for teachers. Across three screens, the cinema shows art-house programming with current independent films, premieres, and documentaries, some in the original version with subtitles. On Tuesdays at 10:30 pm there's the Sneak Preview, a surprise film.

The cinema is housed in the restored halls of a former ship-propeller factory; the brick facade and old industrial elements give it an atmosphere quite different from large multiplexes. Some screens are equipped with Dolby Atmos. The audience mixes neighborhood regulars, students, and families.

Altona S-Bahn station is a ten-minute walk away, surrounded by cafes, ice cream parlors, and playgrounds. Early reservation for the weekend children's cinema is worthwhile, as shows can sell out. The Zeise Card saves money on every ticket.
