Good to know
At Wildpark Schwarze Berge, children can observe elk, wild boar, foxes, raccoons, wildcats, otters, and alpacas, and watch the daily feedings: otters at eleven, a birds-of-prey flight show at midday and in the afternoon, and raccoon feeding in the late afternoon. An elevated elk platform leads right into the enclosures, offering a view of the animals from above. A petting enclosure with goats rounds out the visit.
The park suits children between two and twelve well, since large play areas with climbing landscapes, zip lines, and natural materials, plus a section with dinosaur-themed exhibits, add variety to the classic wildlife-park visit. On some weekends there are activity days with forest games, campfires, or nature education.
Plan for three to five hours. Dining, a beer garden, and grill areas are on site, along with birthday parties and holiday programs. Reachable via the A7 in about twenty minutes, or by HVV bus from Harburg Rathaus without a car. Arrive early on nice weekends, or the parking lot fills up.
