Good to know
At the Flohdom market, families find toys, books, children's clothing, and small collectibles among the stalls. The market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday on the spacious grounds. The area is large enough to get around comfortably with a stroller or balance bike.
On race days, children experience the interplay of horse, sulky, and driver and get to know a sport with a long tradition. The smell of straw, the trotters' laps, and shouts from the sidelines make the Trabrennbahn a rather atypical Hamburg experience. It ranks among Hamburg's older equestrian sport venues.
Located on Luruper Chaussee, a few minutes' walk from the Bahrenfelder Trabrennbahn bus stop, with good A7 access and parking right on site. In summer the markets are especially well attended; in winter they take place under cover.
