Good to know
AGDAZ stands for Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutsch Ausländische Zusammenarbeit (German-Foreign Cooperation Group) — and that's exactly what this neighborhood meeting place on Gropiusring, on the Steilshoop campus, lives out. For over 35 years, the barrier-free center has offered a varied program: readings, concerts, cooking studios, a writing workshop, flea markets, and courses. For families there are offerings such as 'Bunte Steinewelt' with a family rate, a Turkish taster course for elementary school children aged 6 to 10, and cooking together across cultures. The highlight is the annual International Neighborhood Festival (its 36th edition in 2026), popular with young and old and celebrated free of charge. Rooms can also be rented for private celebrations.
