Stadtpark Open Air with kids

Stadtpark Open Air is the open-air stage in Hamburg's Stadtpark: a grassy rotunda framed by tall beech hedges, with room for 4,000 spectators. Since 1975, Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion has brought stars of pop, rock, world music, and jazz onto this stage — mostly evening concerts, but with the children's band Deine Freunde, sold-out family concerts are also on the program. Important for families: children under 6 are not admitted; from age 6 they can enter with their own ticket, age-appropriate hearing protection, and accompanied by parents. Admission usually starts an hour and a half before the show; the venue is close to the Alte Wöhr, Saarlandstraße, and Borgweg train stations.
