Stadtpark Norderstedt - Stadtparksee und Strandbad with kids

At the Stadtparksee, families can swim at the Strandbad Norderstedt, play on the flat sandy beach, and picnic on the wide sunbathing lawns. During bathing season, lifeguards supervise part of the lake, and the shallow shore makes the lake suitable for younger children too. There's a playground right by the beach section.

For older children there's also a water-ski cable lift with obstacles, booked separately. Waterside paths combine well with the farm, playgrounds, and high ropes course. Another stretch of shoreline is left in a more natural state and is suited to quiet walks.

Admission to the Strandbad is per person or via family ticket; the rest of the lakeshore is freely accessible. Dogs are not allowed in the beach area. On hot weekends it's worth arriving early, as the beach fills up quickly. Before visiting, it's worth checking the current water-quality report.
