Good to know

Stadtmuseum Pinneberg is located in the historic building of the former district court from 1855 on Dingstätte in Pinneberg. The permanent exhibition on the town's history shows its development from prehistory to the present, complemented by changing special exhibitions such as the current one, 'Zum Glück!' ('Lucky, Fortunately!'), which is explicitly aimed at both young and old. For families there are creative interactive stations as well as a dedicated children's area with puzzles, reading material, and drawing activities, plus workshops and special family offerings. The museum also takes part in Pinneberg's holiday program for children and teenagers. It's open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2 to 5pm and Thursday from 10am to 12pm; closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is free.
