Good to know
The SpielScheune der Geschichten in Neuallermöhe is an indoor playground run by the Verein für Kinder-, Jugend- und Familienförderung. Staff tell their own stories live there every day. Inside you will find the Ark for climbing, the volcano with a slide, a ball pit for toddlers, a Bobbycar track and face painting.
The garden has a slackline, a wobbly bridge and a ground trampoline, plus canoes from April to September. Themed worlds are aimed at children aged 4 and up, and there is a regular kids' disco for children up to 12. Admission is 10 euros from age 2, children under 2 get in free, and during happy hour, the last two hours before closing, it costs 7 euros.
It is open Mondays from 3 to 7 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm, and on weekends, public holidays and during Hamburg school holidays from 10 am to 2 pm and from 3 to 7 pm. Socks are required; spare socks cost 3 euros. On weekends tickets at the door are often sold out, so booking online is a good idea.
