Good to know
Right on the Kiebitzfleet in Neu-Allermöhe-West, AWO Hamburg runs Spielhaus Kiebitz, a neighborhood-based education and childcare offering for children aged 5 to 13. The barrier-free, ground-level rooms include a workshop, a group room with a building and puppet corner, and a play-and-dance room with a large selection of board and other games. Outside there's a public playground with football goals, kubb, and a basketball hoop, plus scooters and go-karts. Regular fixtures are girls' day on Tuesdays and boys' day on Thursdays, along with an open parent-child morning and a dedicated Kiebitz group for 2- to 6-year-olds. The program is rounded out with outings, neighborhood festivals, and seasonal celebrations such as a carnival disco and Christmas party.
