Spielhaus Alsenpark with kids

At Spielhaus Alsenpark, families with children aged 0 to 5 meet in the mornings (Mon to Thu until 12:30) in a play group starting from age two — with breakfast, free play, movement games, language support, crafts, singing, and occasional outings. From 2 pm, schoolchildren between 6 and 14 take over: homework help, language support, table tennis, foosball, board games, plus dancing, crafts, football, and guitar lessons.

For many parents, the morning offering is a reliable anchor in the week that also creates contact with other families. The Spielhaus also sees itself as a point of contact in challenging life situations — open counseling is part of the concept, with referrals made as needed. Holiday programs, day trips, and neighborhood festivals round out the year.

Run by the Bezirksamt Hamburg-Altona, free and generally without registration. Low-threshold in a neighborhood with mixed family backgrounds.
