Spicy's Gewürzmuseum with kids

At Spicy's, children are invited and encouraged to touch: at several stations there are grains, roots, and blossoms, along with scales, sacks, tools, and a smell-and-touch table. At the tasting station, visitors can sample over 80 spices with small spoons — from classic pepper to exotic blends. An audio guide is included in the admission price and leads visitors along the exhibits.

A visit takes around 30 to 60 minutes and is especially suitable from about age five, when children enjoy smelling and touching. The attached shop stocks over 200 spices, teas, and blends and is accessible even without a museum ticket. Combines well with Miniatur Wunderland, the Speicherstadtmuseum, Chocoversum, or a stroll through the HafenCity.

Open daily from ten to five. With a stroller: access is via a small staircase into the historic floor. Tours such as the Pfeffersack tour with costumed guides round out the visit.
