At the SBZ, children can freely combine, climb, swing and build obstacles together on the large movement construction site made of building elements, mats, rollers, balls and climbing surfaces. Babies up to 23 months have their own protected space; daycare and school children up to grade 4 romp in the large hall together with a parent. No registration is needed on open days.

The concept follows psychomotricity: rather than training in the classic sense, it's about trying things out on your own terms. For families with movement-hungry children, this is one of the few places in Hamburg where exactly this kind of free experimentation is the program.

Usually open Friday to Sunday — practical for rainy days when the playground and park are out. Within walking distance in the Reiherstiegviertel, otherwise easily reached by S-Bahn Veddel and Wilhelmsburg plus bus.
