Good to know
At Sasel-Haus, children experience picture-book cinema with large images on the wall, a narrating voice, and a small craft activity afterward. There are also baby concerts for the very youngest, the series Klassik ist klasse! with classical music in a relaxed atmosphere and a child-friendly length, and a reading circle with books and hands-on activities. More than 80 courses run per semester — many also for children and teens, such as early music education or creative arts.
For families, the visit is worthwhile because of the broad mix of culture, education, and leisure under one roof. Dropping by spontaneously works just as well as booking a longer-term course — handy when the weather ruins outdoor plans. The house also has its own daycare in the Alstertal.
One of Hamburg's largest neighborhood cultural centers, at Saseler Parkweg 3 in the heart of the Alstertal. The concert series Tor zur Klassik and the ImPuls series round out the family program.
