In the Wallanlagen south of the park's main area lies Germany's largest open-air ice and roller-skating rink. From mid-April to late September, the roller rink invites visitors to skate laps on about 4,300 square meters — with free admission.

In summer, various organizations run programs on site: the Skateboard e.V. with workshops, and the Verkehrswacht with a children's bicycle course. On special dates, the Rollerskate Van comes by with roller-skate rental. There is no regular rental of roller skates or boards.

In winter, the facility becomes an ice rink (a separate venue) with admission prices and ice-skate rental.
