Rahlstedter Kulturverein with kids
Every late summer, Rahlstedter Kulturverein brings the Rahlstedter Kulturwochen, with up to 70 events, to the neighborhood — including children's theater from age 4 at low prices. Performances take place at changing venues such as Parkresidenz Rahlstedt or Kulturwerk Rahlstedt.

Since 1999, Rahlstedter Kulturverein e.V. has kept neighborhood culture alive in eastern Hamburg. Its centerpiece is the Rahlstedter Kulturwochen in late summer, with up to 70 events: concerts, readings, exhibitions, theater, and festivals such as the medieval fair or the St. Nicholas market festival. For families, the children's theater is especially worthwhile — for example 'Pettersson and Findus' for ages 4 and up, at 3 to 4 euros admission — along with painting, photo, and film competitions for children and teenagers. The association has no venue of its own: performances take place at changing locations around the neighborhood, including Parkresidenz Rahlstedt, Kulturwerk Rahlstedt, churches, schools, and the public library.
