Ponyhof Waldschänke with kids

At Ponyhof Waldschänke, children can take guided pony rounds right through the Klövensteen forest, groom the ponies, lead them and learn to read their signals. The focus is on connecting with the animals, not on riding performance. Especially good for small children sitting on a pony for the first time. During school holidays there are multi-day pony camps, where children help out in the stable and share experiences together in a group.

The farm works closely with the neighboring Ponyhof Niendorf: on its rest days, parents are referred there, so families in northwest Hamburg have reliable places to go. Opening hours follow school holidays and are more extended on weekends and during breaks.

The farm is located on Babenwischenweg in Rissen, right by the Klövensteen. Easily reached by car; S-Bahn Rissen is a few minutes away. Combines well with a walk in the forest or a visit to the Klövensteen wildlife enclosure.
