At the Ohnsorg Studio, families can attend children's and youth productions such as literary adaptations, like 'Nur ein Tag'. The plays are manageable in length and suit school-age children ready to engage with a quieter, more language-driven form of theater. The audience sits very close to the action, and the atmosphere is intense and personal.
The Ohnsorg has stood for Low German theater for over a hundred years. Nowadays, most productions run with High German surtitles, so viewers without knowledge of Low German can follow along well too. The Studio is the smaller stage of the house, hosting guest performances and more experimental plays.
The Studio on Heidi-Kabel-Platz is small and sells out quickly, so early reservations are worthwhile. The box office can still be worth a try, though, since unclaimed tickets get released. S- and U-Bahn are right outside the door.
