Good to know
At Museumsbauernhof Wennerstorf, a branch of the Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg, families experience the life of a farming family around 1930. Since 1997, the farm has combined museum work, organic farming under Bioland guidelines, and the integration of people with disabilities. Children here meet moorland sheep, Ramelsloh chickens, and bees; the Hökerladen shop offers regional organic produce, and Eliese's farm café invites visitors on Sundays from 1 to 6pm for coffee and cake in 1930s style. For children there are craft stations, birthday parties, and a free monthly farm fun day with a museum educator. Open May to October, admission is free on regular days.
