Metropolis Kino with kids

Metropolis Kino is located on Kleine Theaterstraße in Hamburg's city center, right next to the State Opera. It's run by Kinemathek Hamburg, a nonprofit association dedicated to cultural film work. The historic auditorium, with around 280 seats, screens films of all genres, from silent films with live musical accompaniment to premieres. For association members, admission per film costs just 6 euros; membership is available from 25 euros a year. The cinema opens half an hour before the day's first screening — for a cinema outing with older children, it's worth checking the changing program.
