Mehrgenerationenhaus Nachbarschatz e.V. is located on Amandastraße in Eimsbüttel, on the border with Altona, and opens its 'public living room' Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5:30pm for all age groups. For families there's a parent-child brunch on Wednesdays and Fridays, open childcare for 2 euros an hour, a children's disco on Mondays, and freshly cooked breakfast and lunch every day. The house combines a daycare, social counseling, and crisis intervention with cross-generational togetherness, welcoming families with young children just as warmly as senior citizens.
