Here families can rent kayaks, canoes in different sizes and stand-up paddle boards, and either paddle short loops around the Marienhof or take longer tours on the upper Alster. Plenty of sunbathing lawns by the water invite you to take a break. The canoe picnic is popular: the neighboring restaurant The Locks packs picnic baskets on advance order that can be taken along in the boat.

The marina is aimed especially at families, couples and small groups who want to spend a day on the water. Reservations are recommended, especially on sunny weekends. Everyone on board should be able to swim, and life jackets are mandatory for children.

Open seasonally, usually from April to September, with exact times depending on weather and season. Reachable by U-Bahn to Poppenbüttel and a short walk. Swimwear, sun protection and sturdy shoes are sensible, and it combines well with a walk through the Alstertal.
