Lichtwark-Forum Lurup e.V. runs the neighborhood culture center in the Stadtteilhaus Lurup on Luruper Hauptstraße 155. The heart of its family offerings is the volunteer-run neighborhood stage, which has been staging fairy-tale productions for children aged three to ninety-nine since 2008 — currently, for example, the children's theater piece 'The Transformed Crocodile' for ages three and up. Added to this are the Lurupina circus festival, creative recycling workshops, and the offerings of the Community School LURUM with its children's and family center. On Thursdays from 2 to 5pm, a café also opens for anyone who wants to drop by.
