Good to know
Families and older children can enjoy open formats here like the reading cafe with books and a relaxed atmosphere, join history walks along the harbor, simply join in a game of boules in the park, or attend concerts in a smaller setting. Alongside this, courses run on analog photography, painting, literature, and creative work, often as fixed groups that meet regularly.
The program covers a wide range: concerts from jazz to choral music, readings, film evenings, and workshops. Much of it is woven into the neighborhood's everyday life and isn't tailored to one particular audience. Joining in is just as welcome as listening, and new ideas are gladly taken up.
The KulturWerkstatt has been based at Kanalplatz in Harburg's old town center since 1984 and is a lively meeting point away from the big cultural venues, run by an association.
