Good to know
Families find mainly the children's disco here, with changing themes, explicitly aimed at families. At the drum circle, people of all ages meet under expert guidance for shared rhythms; SchlossJam is an open stage for musicians, and there are comedy series like Freche Möwe with rotating acts from Hamburg.
The venue combines cultural programming with the option to rent rooms for private events, and is firmly rooted in the neighborhood. Many events are low-threshold and modestly priced, so families with younger children can join in too. Advance registration is worthwhile for popular formats.
Wandsbek is well connected by U-Bahn, S-Bahn and buses; the Kulturschloss is centrally located in the district. Current dates and prices via the website.
