Kita Vizelinstraße with kids

Children from eight weeks old until school entry are cared for here in mixed-age groups, with younger and older children playing and learning together. Indoors there is a workshop area, a movement room, and a role-play corner; outside, a newly redesigned outdoor area offers zones for movement, retreat, and free play. Fresh meals come from the in-house kitchen.

The mixed-age groups encourage social dynamics: younger children take cues from older ones, and older children take on responsibility. In a neighborhood with many families of different backgrounds, the practice of lived intercultural exchange matches the children's everyday reality. An attached parent-child center, funded by the City of Hamburg, serves as a meeting point, counseling venue, and low-cost lunch spot for families without a daycare place.
