Good to know
Children from eight weeks old until school entry are cared for here inclusively, with and without disabilities together in the groups on equal terms. The nature-close outdoor area has hills, bushes, and spaces that allow for self-directed play; indoors, the rooms are barrier-free and divided into different functional areas. Fresh meals come from the in-house kitchen.
The multicultural team fits the neighborhood between Altona and Ottensen, where many families of very different backgrounds live. The facility includes a parent-child center with music, movement, baby well-being courses, and parenting counseling, as well as an early intervention service for children aged 0 to 3. This allows Scheplerstrasse to accompany families across several life stages, from EKiZ visits with a baby to the transition to school.
Open Monday to Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays until 5 p.m. Creche registrations are currently being accepted; externally evaluated in 2024 by ISTA.
