Kita Hermannstal with kids

At Kita Hermannstal, children from eight weeks to six years old are cared for in creche, kindergarten, and bridge-year groups. The program includes freshly prepared meals daily from the in-house kitchen, swimming lessons for preschool children with the chance to earn the Seepferdchen badge, and annual outings, for example to the zoo or a museum. The swimming program is a real extra not offered as a matter of course at every daycare.

The center works with an explicitly multicultural profile: festivals, food, and traditions from different backgrounds are given space, and everyday life is open and multilingual. A photo project titled Mit Kinderaugen (Through Children's Eyes) is being created in cooperation with the Hamburg Volkshochschule - children document their everyday life from their own perspective.

Attached is a parent-child center with counseling, meals, and creative offerings for families without a regular daycare place. Location: Hermannstal 88, a quiet residential area near Billstedt, single-story and largely barrier-free.
