Good to know
At Kinder-Uni, researchers from Universität Hamburg explain their fields in a way that children aged 8 to 12 can follow. The university organizes it together with ETV Kinder- und Jugendförderung. In 2026 there are four lectures, on Mondays, November 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 5 p.m. in the Audimax at Von-Melle-Park. The topics are fear, technology for astronauts, learning robots and the question of when someone goes to prison. A lecture lasts about an hour including a Q&A session. Admission is free and no registration is required. Every child needs an accompanying adult. The Audimax holds 1,600 people, and when it is full, admission closes. Anyone who can't make it can watch the livestream on the Kinder-Uni website. With the stamp card from the foyer, you get a small surprise after three visits.
