Good to know
At KIKU Kinderkulturhaus, children can take part in projects, workshops, and action days, such as clothing swap parties, the Children's Day Against Racism, or the recurring project Living Library, which centers on stories, personal experiences, and encounters. Open meet-ups, creative work, and participation formats for the neighborhood are also part of the program. Governance and programming are geared toward shaping by the children themselves.
The house is located in the Bergedorf district, in the Lohbruegge neighborhood, and is aimed at families and neighborhood groups from the area. Offerings are often free or very low-cost, and the team places importance on accessibility and open access for children of different backgrounds. Action days sometimes take place in cooperation with the Koerberhaus in Bergedorf.
KIKU is well reached by bus and the Bergedorf S-Bahn station. Current projects and opening hours are on the website.
