Good to know
Kinder- und Familienzentrum Schnelsen, run by the Verband Kinder und Jugendarbeit Hamburg e.V., is there for families at two locations: Vörn Brook 9a in Schnelsen-Süd and Walter-Jungleib-Straße 20 in Burgwedel. Almost all offerings are open — parents with babies and toddlers aged 0 to 2 meet in the crawling groups, the free family café in Burgwedel welcomes visitors on Wednesdays, and Café Monday in Schnelsen-Süd on Mondays. Added to this are open family counseling on several weekdays, homework help for school children in grades 1 to 10, sports for women, and joint activities and outings.
