Good to know

At Kamishibai Salon, families can listen to the storytellers at public events: on World Kamishibai Day in December, on World Storytelling Day in spring, and at summer open-air dates with the kamishibai bicycle in Planten un Blomen. Children and parents join spontaneously and hear several stories at different spots in the park. Kamishibai is a small wooden box theater into which picture cards are slid while someone narrates live.

The group meets regularly on the first Monday of the month at the teahouse by the ice rink in Planten un Blomen. The focus is on adult participants who talk about the art form and try out new stories, complemented by family formats. The salon is not a classic children's event venue, but a charming address for anyone who enjoys storytelling and small stage moments.

The central location in Planten un Blomen can be combined with the Japanese Garden and the water light concerts. Dates via the website or Instagram.
